FII & DII — the elephants

FIIs (Foreign Institutional Investors) are big foreign funds; DIIs (Domestic Institutional Investors) are Indian ones — mutual funds, insurance companies like LIC. They move thousands of crores, so when elephants walk in or out, prices move. Daily FII/DII buy/sell numbers are published every evening.
